Doodle for Google
During this project, I learned a lot about Color Theory, and how I could incorporate colors that worked with each other.
- What was it like to create a word web around the theme kindness?
- Why are Mid-Project Critiques important?
- If you were to do this again, what would you do differently?
- ie - Brainstorm longer, sketch out more ideas, get multiple critiques from more people, start over again? WHY?)

Project reflection: During this unit, I feel that I have grown both with my skills and also with my knowledge. I have learned basic photoshop skills, and now i can realistically photoshop Dave Farkas's face onto a random Canadian kayaker that likes sushi, as you can see above. To the left, you may notice pictures of sushi, birds, flags, dementors, and exorcists face. How are these pictures relevant? well based on a survey that went out to the staff at our school, I collected data about Dave that could help me create a scene that represents his qualities. For example, Farkas isn't too excited when he sees the scary face from the original Exorcist, so that might help explain the look on his face. But he does in fact enjoy a good serving of sushi and his homeland, Canada. Did I forget to mention the bird flying by his head? Well, the Red Tail Hawk is- you guessed it- his favorite animal.
Compared to the beginning of the year, my progress is becoming very clear- yes, I can now download images from the internet. Impressive, right? But in all honesty, when I first stepped into Roxy's room, I was terrified. I don't know what Photoshop is!! And everyone else does! As the year went on, I slowly but surely gained knowledge on photoshop and I can proudly say that I know how to use the lasso tool and the blur tool- and I will continue to enjoy photoshop, because quite frankly i've found a new side of art that I didn't know existed until recently. Stay tuned to see my next projects! |
Header Project
The objective of this project was to create headers for our Digital Portfolios with pictures and fonts that correlate with it's class.
Photoshop Tutorials
Project Reflection : What are your biggest "Take Away's" from this project?
Digital Art was always super confusing for me since the beginning. I have no experience at all with Photoshop, so it has been difficult for me to catch up. But throughout the two weeks of our class learning Photoshop through tutorials, I have gained lots of abilities in adobe Photoshop, like these below:

I made a copy of the image and flipped it vertically. Next I created a new document and added noise to it. Then I stretched the bottom of the image with noise into a trapezoid using Edit, Transform, and Perspective. I placed the image with noise above the flipped image and it created ripples.
I selected the eye with the pen tool. I clicked control U to select the whole eye color, and i had the chance to change the hue, saturation, and lightness. I made it blue because i thought it was pretty.
